According to the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China report, the trading volume of E-Commerce achieved 5660 billion RMB   January to June in 2014, up 30.1 percent. The scale of the E- retail market approached 1100 billion RMB, up 33.4 percent combing to the same period of last year, 7.9 percent higher than last month.

 

January to June in 2014, E-Commerce in China kept stable development with the market scale continuing to expand and the online groups promoted greatly. According to the institutes’ data, the E-Commerce scale was 5660 billion RMB   January to June in 2014, up 30.1 percent. The scale of the E- retail market approached 1100 billion RMB, up 33.4 percent combing to the same period of last year, 7.9 percent higher than last month, taking up 8.4 percent of the total volume of retail sales of social consumables   January to June. Promoted by new technologies and modes, E-Commerce had flowed into almost every fields and it had become an unnecessary part of the economy.

According to the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China report, a new feature was reflected. Firstly, the E-Commerce combined with traditional industries. Traditional industries were on the way to combine with online sales. O2O mode had transferred   group buying to home furniture, dining, culture, leisure and many fields, occurred a trend “online industrial belt”. Qingdao Red Collar Group promoted customers-oriented E-Commerce and regarded customers as the core.  Alibaba.com had promoted many industries such as Guangzhou cloth, Quanzhou tea, Wenzhou shoes, Zhumeng pearl and sock.

Secondly, many giant enterprises wanted to go public. E-Commerce in China had entered a new stage. With the industries combing, JD and Alibaba.com’s going public had a great influence on the whole industry. In the B2C market, T-mall.com took up 51 percent of the whole market, while JD took up 23.6 percent of the market. Suning took up 5.2 percent of the whole market. When JD went public, its value became 36.05 billion USD, ranking third place after Tencent and Baidu.

Thirdly, online buying developed rapidly. According to the data, the online buying scale achieved 64.19 billion RMB in the first reason in 2014, up 140.8 percent. The growth rate was expected to achieve 130 percent in the second reason. In JD’s 6•18 anniversary, the orders of intelligent terminals took up a quarter of the total orders. The mobile telephone provided a new way for consumers and it also left an opportunity for the enterprises to conduct marketing.

Fourthly, online financing developed rapidly. In the year 2013, the payment institutions processed 15.338 billion online businesses, up 56.1 percent, with a total amount 9220 billion RMB, up 48.6 percent. By the end of 2013, there were more than 350 P2P platform with a total transaction 60 billion RMB.

E-Commerce, as a new way of payment, had become an important part of business. The Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China was devoted to creating a favorite development environment and promoted the implement.  The Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China had guidance the development of the industry and promoted the construction of the E-Commerce demonstration cities in line with relevant departments. At the beginning of the year, they had picked up 30 E-Commerce demonstration cities to promote the creation implement, trail base construction and public information service platform. 

Efforts should be made to promote the key demonstration cities. The Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China would promote the combination of agricultural productions and E-Commerce. It would establish a public information service platform of agricultural productions and guidance the cooperation between big enterprises with giant agricultural market. It also encouraged the E-Commerce enterprises to local information reform. The Ministry of commerce of the People’s Republic of China would encourage the E-Commerce enterprises to compete the international market and it would solve the problem that restricted the development of the E-Commerce.

The Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China would promote the construction of E-Commerce logistics system. The Ministry of Commerce would cooperate with post offices and they together chose some demonstration cities to promote the E-Commerce logistics system, management system creation, infrastructure construction, releasing relevant policies for traffic, improving the quality of the staffs and solving the finial distribution problems.

At last, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China would promote the construction of E-Commerce statistics credit system and regulation system. On 2th 2014, a platform had been established. The Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China also published 2013 China E-Commerce Report and 2013 China Assessment Report for Online Retail Market to promote the E-Commerce statistics credit system. It perfected the regulation system for the E-Commerce at the same time. It had established E-Commerce credit database to promote the development of information sharing and regulation system, building a perfect credit system.
