Debut of a New Star in Smart Hardware: Creative + Launched in Beijing

On August 29th, the launch of Creative + ended successfully in Feimalv, a management support institute for start-ups in Beijing. Around 400 attendees at scene showed high popularity of the 5-hour launch. 17 products providers and 20+ renowned tech journalists and several industrial heavyweights and partners were present, making a diversified technical festival. Both smart hardware on the first floor and other interesting stuffs on the second floor have embodied strong participation and interaction from users. The slogan Enjoy was well demonstrated by getting people fired up.

Every attendee could use any smart devices presented and enjoy wonderful experience they brought. New communicating access was built: technology fanciers got up-close to product owners; users were given presentations, deep analysis directly from product owners themselves and listened to their personal experience. This launch was a technical festival offering tremendous products and knowledge of practicability, which well accorded with the original intention of Creative +.

The key part as well as the highlight was that the co-founders, Yuan Yue, Guo Xin, Qi Haitao, announcing the establishment of Creative + and changing the Chinese brand of Creative + from “创想+”to “酷加”. For now Creative + has 4 channels:Product Presentation, Official Evaluation, User Experience, “Experience Pioneers”  as constituents of the platform providing users with smart hardware gathered to experience. This platform of emphasizes on user experience and market feedback and aims to improve products and solve problems during marketing so that products can better meet user’s demands.

Three co-founders elaborated the framework and plans on future roadmaps to give a better understanding of Creative + to users from various perspectives. Whether the intelligent life mentioned by president Yuan, or emotion products by president Guo or users’ demand by president Qi is, in the final analysis, a matter of user experience. Products are all that matter for newly-established firms of smart hardware, so Mr.Yuan pointed out that current start-up teams generally lacked professional competence and energy to know customer’s needs and theses needs are bound to be fulfilled by third parties. Creative+‘s top priority and core competence lie exactly in finding and fulfilling users’ needs.

How does Creative + know customer’s needs?

Mr.Qi said there were 5 criteria for a good smart device: utility, functionality, convenience, strong user bind and availability. So Creative + will be devoted to selecting smart devices for customer’s sake through setting up a platform where product owners can show their devices to professional experience engineers(the Experience Pioneers) and ordinary customers. Creative + collects information of user experience and suggestions and presents it in a real and objective way. On the launching day, Creative + respectively signed strategic cooperation agreements with Chery Scientific Research Institute, Chongqing Industrial Service Port, Tongji (Changshu) Science Park. Mr.Qi said that intensive work should be not only on fixed industries, but also on other developing channels, on developing physical experience centers and incubators for smart devices.

In contrast to that the whole industry enjoys more popularity and smart devices come like a rising wind and scudding clouds, users do not seem to have an appetite for consuming one of those devices. Because the most important part in the smart hardware ecosystem, the link between product owners and users, is broken. It’s firmly believed that Creative + will have a bright prospect and create a better environment for smart hardware.
