As the reporter learned from Ningbo Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau, during the first half of 2013, at Ningbo, except the work of foreign trade, the work of foreign investments, foreign economy, and outsourcing showed positive growths. Total imports and exports of Ningbo amounted to 47.945 billion USD, a year-on-year growth of 1.5%, including 30.975 billion USD of exports, a growth of 4% and 16.971 billion USD, a decline of 2.6%.

During the first-half year at Ningbo, the contractual foreign investments amounted to 2.906 billion USD, an increase of 16.1% year-on-year. The actually paid-in foreign investments amounted to 1.798 billion USD, an increase of 17.9% year-on-year. Newly-approved oversea Chinese investments amounted 0.882 billion USD, an increase of 14.6% year-on-year. The actually paid-in Chinese investments amounted to 0.335 billion USD, an increase of 9.1% year-on-year. The turnover of oversea-project labor services was 0.862 billion USD, an increase of 15.7% year-on-year.

Besides, the contract amount and execution amount of Ningbo outsourcing were 6.808 billion RMB and 5.197 billion RMB respectively, an increase of 28.5% and 22.4% year-on-year respectively. The contract amount and execution amount of off-shore outsourcing were 348 million USD and 284 million USD respectively, an increase of 34.2% and 44.1% year-on-year respectively.

In terms of foreign trade, during the first half year,exports from Ningbo to Europe got slow and steady, and those to new markets diversified. As reported, during the first half year, exports from Ningbo to Europe rose 0.4% year-on-year, despite the successive and diminishing declines from Match to May. At June, the exports increased 9% year-on-year.

In terms of foreign capital, during the first half year, Ningbo attracted one project invested by Fortune 500, 6 capital-expansion project, and 199 million USD of contractual foreign capital expansion. There were 18 newly-approved merger and acquisition projects invested by foreign enterprises and 187 million USD of contractual foreign investments, including 4 merger and acquisition projects, each project totaling over 10 million USD. Contractual foreign investment from foreign investment companies amounted to 100 million USD and actually paid-in foreign investment amounted to 66.67 million USD.
