About 60% of TVs in the China market in 2014 are expected to be smart TVs, according to market observers.

As TV vendors increase their lineup of smart TVs and as content providers are bumping up their services, the proportion of smart TVs in China is expected to increase to about 60% in 2014.

The concept of overall platform services is becoming increasingly important in China, with TV vendors now pairing up with various channels to push services further into the China market.

Ultra HD TVs are also expected to be more of a focus of TV vendors in 2014, the observers added.
