China’s 3G Subscribers Break 400 million People Outpaced GDP growth Again

In 2013, China’s telecommunications industry maintained a stable growth track. Income growth rate fell from 9.0% to 8.7%. Up till the end of 2013, the national telecommunications industry achieved a gross business volume of 1.4 trillion yuan, increased by 7.5% year-on-year. Income of telecom business reached 1168.9 billion dollars, increased by 8.7 % y-o-y. Investment in the fixed assets topped 375.5 billion yuan, increased by 3.9% year-on-year. Phone users added 106 million to 1.49 billion people. Non-voice business revenue reached 621.8 billion yuan increased by 17% year-on-year. It’s the first time that the proportion of non-voice business in whole telecom business revenue break 50%, to 53.2%.

3G Mobile Phone Users Break 400 Million People While Broadband Access Rate Strikingly Go Upstream

In 2013, the national phone users faced a net increase of 105 million users to a total of 1.5 billion users, increased by 7.6%. Thereinto, Mobile phone users up 116.9 million people to 1229 million users in all, increased by 10.5%. Fixed-line users fell 11.2 million people to 267 million in all. In addition, the national 3G mobile phone users number net increased 168.8 million to 402 million, among which TD-SCDMA users net increased 103.2 million to 191 million people. Mobile Internet users number net increased 43.2 million to 808 million. The proportion of 3G subscribers up to 36.1% from 23.2% at the beginning of 2013.
