Tianjin Airport International Logistics Zone is jointly invested by Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone and Tianjin Binhai International Airport. Institutional advantage

Tianjin Airport Free Trade Zone
Tianjin Airport Free Trade Zone: Swap Area of Tianjin Airport Free Trade Zone had gained acceptance from the Joint Check and Acceptance Group of China which consists of officials from General Administration of Customs of the PRC and Tianjin Government, and was officially put into operation on May 19, 2005.
With support of GAC and relevant departments, the State approved the plan of swapping the originally approved area for new one. The step was very important in further improving opening up, bringing comprehensive advantages of airport and seaport into full play and accelerating construction of Binhai New Area. Checkpoints, fencing, customs supervision, etc. of the swap area were inspected and accepted by the Joint Check and Acceptance Group of China which consists of officials from GAC, Tianjin Customs and Tianjin Government and found to meet the national acceptance standard for operation.
With powerful supports from Tianjin Customs, Tianjin Commission of Commerce，Tianjin Finance Bureau, Tianjin Planning Bureau, Tianjin Provincial Office of SAT, Tianjin Branch of State Administration Foreign Exchange, Tianjin Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, etc. Administrative Committee of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone has completed construction of checkpoints, fencing and customs supervision facilities including electronic supervision system within only half a year. Container No. recognition system and electronic automatic license plate recognition system in the swap area make effective supervision possible. With its unique policy function advantages, the Administrative Committee will make effort in attracting multi-national enterprises and well-known enterprises and concentrate on developing export processing and high-tech industries.
Tianjin Comprehensive Free Trade Zone
Tianjin Comprehensive Free Trade Zone: Tianjin Comprehensive Free Trade Zone had gained the State Council's acceptance and was set up on March 10, 2008. Located in Tianjin Airport Industrial Park and with planning area of 195.63 hectares, the Zone is under unified management of Administrative Committee of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone. With the same preferential policy as that in Free Trade Port area, the Zone integrates all functions of Free Trade Zone, Bonded Logistics Zone and Export Processing Zone into itself. It is the most open zone, under special supervision by customs, with the most preferential policy and the most complete functions.
The State Council's approval of the Zone is another important step to support Binhai New Area development and opening up. It can not only effectively ensure completion of the Tianjin final assembly line for the Airbus A320 series, but also play an important role in gathering aviation industry programs, developing airport international logistics industry and accelerating establishment of shipping center and logistics center of North China.
As Tianjin Binhai New Area develops and opens up faster, it gradually becomes obvious that the Tianjin final assembly line for the Airbus A320 series has promotion effect. There is bright prospect for the Zone to attract investments. At present, there have been more than 70 aviation enterprises coming for visit. Among them, over 30 intend to invest, 8 belong to the World Top 500 Enterprises and 10 have registered and settled down, with the total investment up to 200 million US $.
