Deovtt Insights: The Modes of Medical Enterprises + Internet

It is seen that a series of taxi software such as Didi & KUAIDADI, Uber, Apinche, eHi Car Services have swept the taxi market and seized a large amount of market share. However, some discerning enterprises also aim at the medical areas competitively. The internet medical has become the hot investment point in health medical service industry.

From operation characteristics from participating enterprises, there are mainly three modes. The one is new emerging enterprises those brought medical wave that means to construct a whole medical ecosystem chain. For example “Aixiangju” in Hunan province, it provides comprehensively medical health services via constructing comprehensive service platform and integrating customer groups and resources from medical chain. Lepu Medical is trying to construct a whole ecosystem chain from communication with patient, remote medical, intelligent hardware, medicine and to relative surgery. The second one is that traditional medical institutions & equipment manufactures mainly cooperate with local governments. It means to promote traditional medical industry to be informational. For example, Kingdee medical has cooperated with more than 130 hospitals in China to set up mobile internet hospitals and to improve medical service efficiency. Kangmei also has actively explored in internet + medical area and cooperated with Guangdong Province Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital to promote first intelligent pharmacy in China and also to provide three innovations such as diagnose, service and delivery. The third one is cooperation between medical equipment manufactures and internet giants trying to do something in mobile medical area. For example, Yunfengxinchuang controlled by Alibaba has invested 200 million RMB to buy Wandong Medical, both of them will be cooperated in those areas such as medical imaging, Ali health cloud hospital platform and etc. Xiaomi also has cooperated with Jiuan Medical to research and develop many family mobile health products. And the new product in smart house and maternal & infant monitoring also has been published. The mobile medical product from this company has been beyond competitors far away.

Facing to this big case in medical area, which companies can get profit? The key point is whether they can construct perfect ecosystem for medical service, balance the relationships between patient and medical participators and then reach win-win. Just like taxi market, governments also hold the concept “guidance is better than blocking”, provide a space for market to play its decisive role in resource distribution. The “internet + medical” whether be shining or not. Let’s hope together!
